Melanie draws on her experience as a journalist, magazine writer, graphic designer, public relations manager and creative director for a large in-house marketing and advertising team.
After graduating from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Public Relations, she covered tourism and technology as a reporter for The Phoenix Business Journal. Melanie served as PR Manager for the Phoenix & Valley of the Sun Convention & Visitors Bureau before launching her own marketing firm, producing creative work for several resorts in Arizona and Southern California, among other clients.
For the last seven years she has specialized in financial services marketing, helping more than 100 independent financial advisors define their brands and achieve their marketing goals.
A former house flipper with her late mother, Katharine, Melanie holds an active Arizona real estate license and enjoys staying on top of market trends. She likes being a resource for friends who ask her to look something up on the MLS and assisting them, on occasion, as they buy or sell.
Melanie is passionate about helping homeless dogs and cats find forever homes. She is a proud volunteer at Foothills Animal Rescue, where she serves as a puppy foster and adoption team leader. Melanie is also a volunteer mentor to a teen in foster care through Arizonans for Children. Learn more about these organizations here:
